As Persia again pushes the envelope, the US State Department is confused with its role playing. it can't make up mind whether to play cute or dumb. They have reportedly had talked down the incident of Iran sailing a pair of warships through the Suez Canal.
Iran's message was clear as one could be. It aspires to establish a naval presence outside of its home waters. This is a mechanism that merging powers use to advertise their new status.
As the Western progressives collectively hide under their desks, Iran felt emboldened to do something like this for the first time in over three decades. It's not that Persia has been absent from the region, given their continuous arms smuggling via Syria into Lebanon, courtesy of Hezbollah.
Given the global weakness asides Israel to confront this, Iran feels more emboldened than ever before. The Jewish state, after all, has been correct in calling this maneuver by Iran a "provocation."
Nearly 10 years ago, Israel stopped a cargo ship carrying 20 cubic tonnes of weapons destined for Palestinian terrorists. In 2009, an Iranian shipment to Hezbollah was intercepted. Within its content was over 200 metric tonnes of weapons, including medium range missiles.
Interestingly, the leader of the Free World, stuck his head in the sand. The White House was deafeningly silent on this matter. One really wonders if Obama was aware of what happened. Did any of his mental midgets masquerading as advisors bother to tell him?
Admitted, Obama has a lot on his dossier at the moment, but one can't be ignorant. This bold move by Iran should not be ignored.
At least the Israel sees this threat for what it is. Will the rest of world?
