Japan's minister for reconstruction, Ryu Matsumoto, has stood down urging the governing and opposition parties to work together on reconstruction - but much of the work so far is being undertaken by volunteers.
Yuri Ota took leave from her job in Tokyo to become a volunteer working in Koriyama, the largest city in the Fukushima prefecture, some 60 km from the Fukushima nuclear power plant.
Mishal Husain spoke to Yuri and asked her about the decision to go north and volunteer.
